Alexander’s POV The doctors and nurses rushed me out of the room. This was not happening. This was supposed to be one of the happiest days of our lives, but instead it had turned into a nightmare quickly. I could not do anything to help her. My wife was in there, her lifeless body hung from the bed. That image would never erase from my brain. This was not the end of our story. It couldn’t be. We had so much more to do together. I had so much more love to give her. I reached in my pocket with shaky hands and called the only person that could understand. “Alex? What is wrong?” All I could do was to cry profusely into the phone. Soon my cries became heaves as I struggled to control my breathing. My world had been turned upside down in the blink of an eye.
