A week later, Jessica woke up without Mike by her side. She checked the clock to see if she had overslept and missed him when he left for work but it was too early. She got out of bed and took a quick bath in a hurry to find where he could be. Coming out of the elevator, the sweet smell fresh flowers filled her nostrils, then her jaw dropped. The entire dining room furniture was removed, leaving the vintage round table in the centre of the room which was setup for two. Red roses petals spread across the white ceramic tiles.
