The following day, the presidential detail had swept through the Spencer suite several times to identify any threats to the visiting President. Mike could not help noticing how super vigilant, overly suspicious and detached they were. Besides the initial greeting, they walked about as if Jessica and Mike were not in the room.
“I am sorry” Jessica said softly, sensing his discomfort.
“Are they always like this?” Mike asked noticing that she was not very conceding with the strange men walking about in their room.
“Pretty much” Jessica responded, getting a taste of how people felt when she was part of that detail. She saw a lot of herself in them, all concerned about making sure that nothing happens to the President in their watch and completely missing the discomfort and inconvenience
