It was a bad mistake to come over and try to talk some sense to Natalie. I had calmed down, but she was still fuming over the threat I made. I mean, what guy wouldn't? She was trying to kill our child. The baby we made together over her selfishness. After what seemed like an hour of nothing, but a heated argument, Natalie walked over to the front door and opened it
"You need to leave." She told me.
I shook my head at her.
"I'm not going nowhere," I told her. "We have to talk."
"Quite frankly, I'm done talking to you, Ayden. After this, I want nothing to do with you, anymore. Once I get rid of this pregnancy, we will talk no more."
"Natalie, you can't do this."
"And why not?! You don't own me, Ayden."
When she said that, it made me think of what Alias told me. I mean, why else did she want to be in a contract with my brother? What did she like about him? What was it that he did that made her become one of his regular contracts?
"Do you miss him?" I asked her.
"Miss who?" She asked, confused.
I walked to the front door and shut it. Then, I leaned against it and stared at her.
"Do you miss my brother? Is that why you've been acting like this towards me?”
"No, I don't miss him, Ayden. Why are you bringing him up in this conversation?” "I feel that if my brother was the one to get you pregnant, you would keep the baby with no problems because of how he is.”
Natalie stared at me and shook her head.
“Ayden, that’s not true. I can’t believe you’d think I’d be in love with Alias.”
She looked in the other direction and I sighed.
“You didn’t care about getting in a s****l contract with him. Matter of fact, why did you do that? And don’t say you were bored. It was clear you liked something about him."
"Ayden, I'm not doing this. You need to leave my home."
Hm... She walked off and of course, I followed right behind her. She went to her room and stopped at the door.
"Stop following me." She told me.
"Not until you answer my questions."
"I told you 'no', already."
"Then, why won't you face me?"
Natalie turned around and glared up at me.
"I don't like your brother." She told me. "If you're done with him, then why are you giving me problems?"
"Because, Ayden... I don't.. I don't want a baby right now. You're trying to force me to have this child and I'm not ready. I want to live my life without raising a child." "Natalie..."
She stopped talking.
"You know how much family is to me. You know what I'm going through with Alias. That relationship with him will never happen. Can you give me something that I can feel that love with?”
Natalie rolled her eyes at me before she turned and rushed into her room. When I heard her reteching and gagging in her bathroom, I went in to check on her.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
I went to bathroom and stepped inside. Natalie was down on the ground with her head over the toilet. She threw up everything she had that day. I went to rub her on the back and she smacked my hand away. She flushed the toilet and stood up. Without another word, she walked to the sink and freshened up.
"Natalie..." I sighed.
She glared at me in the mirror that was connected to her medicine cabinet. It was no point of even talking to her at that point.
"Just think about what I said." I told her. "I would really like to have this baby with you. If you don't want to deal with it, then give it to me. I'll definitely raise it, myself."
I turned and walked out of the bathroom, then exited her room. There was a part of me that wanted her to stop me. To let me know that she was going to keep the baby and that we could work on us. However, she didn't even bother. When I walked out her house, I glanced back. She was standing there, but it was only to shut the door. That was it and that was all. Balling my fist up, I walked to my car and kicked the side of it, denting it.
"Fuck." I sneered.
I walked to the driver's side and opened the door. I got in and started the car. Once it started, I didn't even hesitate to leave her side of the street. I sped off and headed towards the house.

"Look, I'll tell him when the time is right." I told my mother as I walked through the front door.
"You know it's only fair, Ayden." Mother told me. "You never know. He might get excited to hear that he's going to have a niece or nephew."
"Mom, you know he's not going to be happy about me having a child with his ex.”
I walked into the kitchen and placed my keys on the table, then I walked to the refrigerator to get daily dose of blood.
“Did you talk to the girl?”
I didn’t even want to talk to her about Natalie. It made my head hurt just thinking about her. My heart hurt for our baby she carried.
“Yeah…”
“No change, huh?”
I took a seat at the table and sighed.
“Mom… I’m scared. That’s my baby and she’s not thinking about how I feel about the situation.”
“Did you tell her?”
“Yeah, I did. I told her I really wanted the baby. I even told her that I’ll raise it alone if she didn’t want to be a mother.”
“Baby, she probably doesn’t need to hear it from you. Could that be it?”
“Who, then? Why wouldn’t she listen to me? I’m the one who got her pregnant! Why won’t she listen to me.”
The other end got quiet for a second.
“…I don’t know, baby.”
Leaning back in the seat, I tried to think of other ways to convince Natalie.
“Mama, I’ma call you back.” I told her. “I love you.”
“And I love you. Bye, Ayden.”
I hung up the phone and placed it on the table. Then without hesitation, I got up from my chair and went to my room.

I ended up going to bed early. However, it kept getting interrupted by the sound of this unfamiliar heartbeat. It just kept getting louder in my head. Immediately, I opened my eyes and sat up on the bed. My room was humid and my body was just covered in sweat.
I looked at the clock on my nightstand and sighed. It read exactly midnight. I looked around for my phone before I remembered I left it downstairs on the table. Irritated with myself, I got out of bed and walked out the room. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen.
The light on my phone was blinking, letting me know I had a messsage. When I grabbed my phone, I glanced at the screen. 10 messages. Three from Adonis, four missed calls from my father and the rest from Natalie. Seeing her name constantly on my phone caused me to panic. So, I called her back.
The first three times, she didn’t answer. The fourth time, she finally did.
“Natalie?” I called her name.
I heard sniffling on the other line. Then, a deep sigh.
“Natalie, are you there?”
“Yeah… I’m here.” She finally answered.
“Are you okay?”
“We need to talk.”
“About what? You kicked me from your home.”
“Ayden, I just… Just please, come over.”
The way she sounded wasn’t normal. It was like something was scaring her. So, of course, I agreed to meet her. Once we got off the phone, I rushed upstairs to get dressed.
