Old and wrinkled

Gerald looked so serious and somehow mad, like I had done something. “Him?” I asked as I walked fully in. “I am your daughter Destiny's friend; she asked me to pick her up… for school.” He added that as Gerald gave him a twitching eye. “My name is Zain.” “Zain, well, there won't be a need for that; we have cars; a driver will take her to school.” Gerald responded. "Sir, perhaps you're not understanding me. I'm very important at the college; this is my third year. I can show her around and–” “That won't be necessary; I'll drop her off myself.” Gerald sounded somehow jealous for me, so I looked at him, and there in his eyes was jealousy; he didn't want me around Zain, which was good because then he would know just how I felt when he brought that Sienna here. “Don't trouble yourself, Daddy; he's also headed to the school, so it's easier if I go with him.” “No. Go get in the car, Zoe; I'm not repeating myself again.” He firmly said. “Oh come on, Gerald, let the kid go and enjoy her first day in peace. Why do you have to be such a buzzkill?" A woman dressed professionally with a cup of tea in hand came from the kitchen, looking a lot like Destiny and Whitney, so I immediately recognized her as Catherine, their mother. I have never met her once, as she always stayed away from us, but I've seen her in magazines and newspapers. “Go on, sweetheart, don't worry about him; he's just being protective.” She said this, and although Gerald almost spoke, she raised a finger to stop him. It was amusing to watch as Mother never stopped him by just raising a finger. "That's enough, Gerald; besides, I need to speak to you.” She added, and he sighed and then nodded his head. “Let's go to my office.” He started toward the stairs, and Catherine gave me a smile before she followed him. Now I liked that she was this kind; obviously she didn't know I was f*****g her ex-husband behind her back, or she would have insulted me, as she was so good at that. But I wasn't happy she had such control over Gerald, like, only I wanted such control over him, so this irritated me. “f**k!” I jumped as Zain shook me out of my head by squeezing my ass. “If you ever do that again, I'll cut your fingers off!” It wasn't just a threat. I meant that. “Ouch, whoa, alright, now let's go before everyone knows you are f*****g your stepdaddy. Did it ever occur to you that this same man used to f**k your mother?” He was such a fool. He had no idea that the fact that he used to f**k her was a turn-on for me; he had no idea I was messed up in my head, that the only difference between me and a psychic patient was that I was here free around sane people. I followed Zain outside without responding. I wasn't happy with Catherine already, but I was glad she would leave. I mean, hold on, she practically had no place to go; everything of hers was frozen. Well, if Gerald had to help, I prayed he would just give her money for a hotel or something, but again, this was a mansion with many free rooms. What if she wanted to live here? I remember how insecure Mother was whenever Catherine's name appeared on the TV; she would start cursing her and change. Even Gerald mentioning her made her restless, so I knew Catherine held such power over Gerald that if she stayed, my life would be difficult. I absentmindedly got into the car; it was a convertible. I could see and feel it, but my mind wasn't here. I was thinking of ways I would already get Catherine out of the house since Sienna has proven to not be a problem. “Hey, snap out of it!” “You don't have to shout; I'm just next to you.” I told the d**k, Zain. Gosh, how did Destiny even stand him? “Yeah, whatever. Listen, I need you to do something for me.” We had left the driveway; now we were on the main road headed to college. “And why would I?" “You said you'd do anything; did you forget I know your secret?” “What do you want me to do?” “Great question. Listen, I need you to seduce three of my professors; I'm failing three classes, but I know you can make it work.” “If I refused to sleep with you, what makes you think I'd want to sleep with others?” "Oh, I figured old and wrinkled is your type since your stepdaddy—" “Don’t you dare.” “Oh, I will dare if you don't do what I say; remember, I have recordings.” "You're crazy; I'm not f*****g old folks for you to pass.” “Then I'll just ask my man to hit post…” He reached down for his phone, and just as he almost unlocked it, I stopped him by agreeing. "I'll do it.”
