Not interested.

I saw that we were all focused on Destiny; no one was even thinking about me now, Whitney, even though she seemed rude. She cared so much for her sister, as she had run to the kitchen to get some water for her. Well, I took the opportunity and ran out of the house. I ran straight to the backyard, and I almost bumped into a pole. Oh, hold on, it was a boy, a young guy, blonde hair, round blue eyes; he was simply beautiful… beautiful, yes, but he had a cigarette in between his fingers—bad boy alert! “Sorry.” I apologized when I snapped out of my head. “No worries, sexy, damn…” I didn't like the way he looked at me. "Hold on, are you Destiny's sis?” He smirked, and I wasn't interested, so I just walked past him and sat down on the bench; my god, my world had just ended in my eyes. I thought of where to go; Gerald, of course, will come with me. I know how much Destiny loved her father, but she had her mother; she had Whitney. I only had him, so she would be fine. “Okay…” The beautiful guy didn't give up; he sat next to me, and I just shifted. I wasn't honestly interested in speaking right now; I had a lot going on. “I'm Zain, the coolest guy you'd ever meet.” The name rang a bell; the two girls mentioned a Zain, and I thought he had left. “Sorry, I'm not interested.” I said it out loud; he was clearly trying to flirt with me. “I mean, you're cute and all, but not my type.” "I'm not your type?” “No offense, but you’ll find out soon anyway.” “What are you talking about?” "Well, it turns out I'm into older men; yes, I'm sleeping with my stepfather.” I mean, he was going to know soon. Why pretend like it wasn't happening? “He cares for me, okay, more than my own mother ever did," I spat; just talking about the woman who gave birth to me made me want to puke. “Whoa, alright, I… excuse me.” He stood up, and of course everyone would run from a girl who f***s her stepdad; no surprises here. When I was left alone with my thoughts, I went back to thinking of places I could go to. I had learned a lot being homeschooled; though physically I hadn't been there, I knew certainly that Los Angeles was the best option. Hollywood had already f****d with people's minds so much that even if my story comes out there, people wouldn't be that surprised. Damn, I could even be offered a movie; yup, I would make billions from the story that caused Destiny to lose consciousness. “f**k!” I jumped up as I felt a hand on my shoulder. Turning around, I saw Sienna standing there looking all calm, but I didn't trust that look; obviously she found out, but I didn't owe her any explanation. I knew Gerald before her, so if she dared try to judge me, I promise I wouldn't let her slide. "I'm sorry.” She apologized, and I looked back twice, thinking perhaps she was apologizing to someone else because I'm the one who was supposed to apologize to her, if apologies were needed. But wait, so if she were apologizing, that meant she would leave Gerald alone with no blood being spilt—well, a few tears from Destiny, but no blood. Great, seems at least one thing was going to work out after all. You know the saying, 'You win some, you lose some.' “Do you think we should move the wedding date?” I choked on my saliva. Wow, now I get to marry the man? Wow. Just wow.
