After lunch, Alaric and I went down to the barn, finding that our horses were ready. “Bella is a good girl, but she has a bit of fire in her, like Chaos,” he told me. “I know of a good trail we can take; it goes around the lake.”
“Sounds good.” We both mounted and rode towards the lake. Once on the trail, I lost myself in thought.
