My relationship with Daisy had changed since I’d discovered I was going to be a mother. When I mentioned that I had no idea how to raise a kid the other day, Knox pointed out that I was already helping to raise one. I’d mostly thought of my relationship with Daisy as that of a nanny, but the alphas were her guardians. And I was their mate, but it felt in name only. It didn’t feel real.
