A few hours ago, the doctor had called him into the consultation room and given him the heart-rending news that Ariel had stage two brain cancer. "Mr. Kendrick, your mother's condition is quite serious. Brain cancer can spread quickly and cause fatal brain function decline if not treated immediately," said the doctor in a calm voice but in Sonny's ears it sounded piercing. "We recommend starting an intensive care program immediately. Chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and maybe surgery later if possible." Sonny could only nod. His t
