If Jennifer was a bit taken aback at the surprise visit by Alexander with a bottle of wine at an evening when her husband was not at home then she certainly did not show it. She only said,” I am so sorry that I was not expecting guests. Please have a seat and I shall be back soon.”
“Sure my dear. I must say that you have a lovely home,” said Alexander with a smile and Jennifer blushed. She had not expected him to be so forthcoming with compliments.
“Oh thank you so much. Please make yourself comfortable. I shall be back shortly,” said Jennifer as she rushed inside to get dressed.
