“Shouldn’t you be keeping an eye on Zain?” I glanced down at him and turned the page.
“Yup! I did keep an eye on him, look!” he hopped on my lap and glared at me with only one green-rimmed eye that was visible.
“Freak! Where is your other eye?” I made a face and pulled Koru’s face closer to mine to see the hollow in the space of his other eye.
“Duh! I kept an eye with him…didn’t you get it?” He crossed his brow and slowly revealed the green rim of the eye that he had hidden from my view.
