Riley’s P.O.V    I had deliberately set my alarm a little early than usual because I wanted to call Nick before work. I wish to apologize for yesterday. Did I mean what I said to him? Yes, but somewhat no, but I was calling because I never wanted things at work to be awkward; we still need to act professionally. I was surprised I had not heard from him since he walked out, but then again, I did tell him I need some time to myself. Maybe he was respecting what I was asking of him.    I took a deep breath before hitting the call button.
