Too Hard To Choose

Chapter Thirty-Five- Last night was different.

Violet

My entire body aches as I pull myself out of bed. Last night with Tyson was something else. Yes, I have had amazing nights with all of them, but last night was something different. It was so intense, heated and passionate. I feel like maybe my body has learned how to adapt better, and I can take more than I could when all of this started. Work will be interesting today with how sore I am. I don’t even know how I am going to sit down. My ass is sensitive from all the spanking last night.

I need a shower, but first, I need coffee and food. I think everyone else has already left for work. Alison didn’t come home last night, so I assume she went straight from her girl’s house to work. I walk slowly to the kitchen. I am sure I have friction burns, alongside bruises, hickeys and bite marks. We got rougher than usual last night. I loved every second of it. My body needs to rest for a couple of days now, though.

I step into the kitchen and am surprised to see Parker sitting having coffee.

“Good morning, beautiful? Are you okay? You seem to be waddling rather than walking.” He laughs.

“Morning, handsome. Yes, just a little sore,” I snicker, “Why aren’t you at work yet?”

“Things get a little rough?” he asks.

I nod, “It did, but it is all good.” I smile.

“Glad you both had fun. I am heading to work soon. Do you want me to drop you off on my way?”

“Sure. Is there coffee left in the pot?”

“I made sure to make enough for you. I also made you breakfast. It is in the microwave. It should still be warm.”

I smile brightly and kiss his cheek, “Thank you. I need food.”

I take the plate from the microwave to see he has made French toast, and there is still heat in it. There is some bacon on the side, too. It looks and smells incredible. I pour a mug of coffee and top Parker’s up, too, taking my seat next to him.

I tuck straight in and groan, “So good.”

“Happy you are enjoying it, beautiful. I have a favour to ask. You can tell me no.”

“What kind of favour?” I ask curiously.

I have no idea what he could want from me. There is a chance I will say yes to it.

“I have a wedding to attend in a couple of weeks. A plus one is invited, and I am wondering if you want to come with me? It doesn’t even need to be classed as a date, just two friends attending a wedding together. If you don’t want to, it is fine. I will find someone else, but I wanted to ask you first.” He smiles.

I wouldn’t mind being his plus one.

“Sure. I will come as your date. Where is it?” I ask.

“You will? We will need to leave on Saturday. The wedding is on the Sunday. It is a four-hour drive, so it would be best to spend a night in a hotel rather than have to leave early in the morning to get there. Would you be okay with that?”

“Yes, I am fine with that.” I smile.

Parker grins widely, “Great! I will get a room booked. Do you want your own room? Or will I get a room with two singles?”

“A double room would be fine. It wouldn’t be our first time staying in the same bed.” I laugh.

He chuckles, “True. I will book the room tonight once I come home from work. Thank you for agreeing. I didn’t want to try to find anyone else. I would prefer you, anyway.”

“I have never been to a wedding.”

“Never?” he asks, surprised.

“Nope. I am excited.” I beam.

“I usually don’t like them. I find them long and boring, but I am sure we will have fun together.” He smiles, squeezing my hand.

“We will,” I reply confidently.

I am surprised, he asked. He could have found another date without issue, but it is sweet of him to think of me first. We focus back on our breakfast.

“I need a quick shower; do you need to leave now, or can you still give me a ride?” I ask as we finish up. I don’t want him to be late because of me.

“I have time, as long as you don’t take too long.”

“I won’t. Give me twenty minutes, and I will be with you.”

I rush off to shower. I have everything set out I need to change into and take with me. I am showered and ready in less than twenty minutes. I wish I had longer to relax my body. I will take a bubble bath when I come home. I will be in bed early tonight because Tyson and I only slept for a few hours last night. I didn’t hear him leave my room this morning.

“Ready,” I say as I enter the living room where Parker awaits me.

“Okay, come on, sweetness, let’s go.”

He rests his hand on the small of my back, leading us out to his car. He opens the passenger’s door, letting me in first because he is a gentleman. He runs around, climbing into the driver’s seat and gets us on the road.

“Do you have a dress for the wedding?” he asks.

“No, but I will go shopping this weekend with Alison.”

“Okay, do you have enough spare cash? If not, I can give you it?” he smiles.

“I have money, but thank you. Is there a specific colour I need, or can I pick anything?”

Parker places his hand on my knee, “No, you can wear whichever colour.”

“Great! Has your friend been with their partner long?”

“Yes. Shaun and Maria have been together for about six years, engaged for two years, and have a three-year-old child. They said they didn’t want to get married, but they changed their minds.”

“Cute. Many people say that, but I believe if you are with the right person, you will one day marry them. It may not be the case for everyone, but it is common.” I smile.

“We all knew they would eventually. They were just too stubborn to admit it.” He laughs.

Parker told me all the details I needed to know about the wedding. It makes me look forward to it even more. We will be attending the entire thing.

“Now, I think of it. We should probably book the hotel for Saturday and Sunday because the reception won’t finish until after midnight. And we will be drinking, so we can’t drive. Would you be okay with that?”

“That makes more sense. Book it for the two nights. Just let me know what I owe you.” I say.

“Nonsense. You do not owe me anything. You are coming as my guest and date. I will pay for the hotel. Don’t try to argue with me about it because it won’t work.” he warns.

I roll my eyes, “Fine, but I am buying the snacks and drinks for the drive.”

“I am sure I can let you do that.” He chuckles.

It would be a fun road trip for us. I am looking forward to it.
