CHAPTER 17 A PAIR OF UNEXPECTED EYES ISABELLA I sat on the edge of my bed, staring at the wall, listening to nothing. The house was quiet, or maybe that was just my room, tucked away in the west wing, far from the terrace where Camille and Alexander were eating lunch. Far from his voice and far from his eyes.
