Leah’s P.O.V
The next morning, I was released and went straight to Emmett’s room. A lot of our friends were there in the waiting room, even Jessica. “dutiful girlfriend then.”
“Oh Leah, how are you?”
Anna asked me
“Yes I’m okay, how’s Em?”
“Still no change Leah.”
“What, why? Who's the doctor assigned to him?”
“Some old man, they had to put him in a comma”
“I’ll be right back.”
“Leah!”
Dad called
“I just want to know what’s happening dad!”
“I know that, being a doctor yourself, you’ll want to know things or what to do, something different from what they did, but you can’t. You do not work here, you are a friend, and you know what that means.”
When someone close to you is in hospital, you are not allowed to interact with the patient. That’s bullshit if you ask me.
