I really wished that everything that the oracle was telling me was false but something told me that it wasn’t. Amelia didn’t even know this oracle so there was no way I could even say that she may have connived with her behind my back. I was the one who chose the oracle and made the appointment with her but everything that she was telling us was something that Amelia had already told me before even though she never directly said it to me. I was so hurt by the way Ruth had acted and I was hurt by the betrayal that she had dealt me. I would have expected this from anyone, even Silas but never my sister. I thought she was my best friend and my most trusted confidant and yet she had betrayed me in the worst way possible.
