There was something new between them. Bella could feel it throughout the night, from her shift to their dance, after which they proceeded back out to the hallways once more together, as a power couple. She wasn't sure if the looks they got were because they noticed the change in her or how weird and out of place she and Logan looked with their attires.
Now leaving the party behind and back in the quiet Palace halls, her tensed shoulders finally relaxed, and the relief of finally getting through the night washed over her. The night wasn't exactly perfect, nor did it go as planned, but it wasn't terrible, at least. She even recalled seeing Queen Alissa give a small smile of approval from across the room for only a second, though, before she took back on her cool and aloof expression.
