‘You have to choose, Dani,’
In the instant before Jade’s sword crashed into Dani’s chest, Dani opened her eyes and rolled out of the way, her body landing on her hands as she expertly pushed herself off of the ground and rose to her feet fast and swift, as she was trained to do. Dani was panting, straining against the mental onslaught and the fight happening at the same time. She was exhausted, wishing it could just be over, but at the same time she wasn’t sure how it would end. Choose, she had to choose.
