My labour was difficult, and they waited until morning, but nothing happened except for the cramps. Both the doctor and midwife checked, but everything seemed to be right for the babies to be born. The cramps subsided later in the morning, making them think it was a false alarm, but the next night, as soon as the moon touched my pregnant belly, the cramps started up again. I screamed as if I was being torn into pieces, making some of them cry with frustration at not being able to relieve my pain.
