I frown when I saw that Salvatore had stopped his car in an open field. Small candles dimly lit the dark sky together with millions of stars that hung above it. I step out when I noticed that he had already opened my door and was waiting for me to come out. I hesitatantly took his hand he offered and stood up. He gently holds my hand and leads me towards a large tree with a picnic basket below it. "Did you make this?" I look towards him who was already staring at me like a love- struck puppy. He opened his mouth to answer but was cut off by a low growl. "How dare a rogue enter my sacred territory?" A loud voice boomed from behind a tree followed by a little boy who looked not any older than sixteen. His voice didn't scare me because Salvatore's were much louder and angrier. "And you are? " I raised an eyebrow at the boy. He clearly was asking for death because I could feel Salvatore shaking angrily right beside me. He tighly closed his eyes and when he reopened them, they were pitch black. The little boy finally noticed Salvatore standing beside me and flinched at the sight. He quickly got down on all four and bowed his head towards us. "I'm so sorry Lord Salvatore. I did not see you there. Please forgive me." He begged, which was weird because Salvatore was like a skyscraper standing next to me. "Lord?" I asked. He smiled and took both my hands in his, softly caressing them and laid a kiss on each one of them, letting his lips linger on them longer than needed," I took over the council. I rule both worlds, the humans and lycans." After he said that it was then reality hit me. I should have paid more attention to the werewolf news. I remember hearing about a prophecy between two mates. A prophecy that was bound to happen when a new lord was crowned to rule both worlds. One mate would want endless wars while the other would want peace among everyone and species. Both would fight until the end of time until one of them won to rule both worlds. However, both would perish in the end without each other, followed by millions that joined them in war. My eyes widen at the realization and pulled away from Salvatore's hands. I didn't want the prophecy to come true and I didn't want either of us to die. I shifted into my wolf and ran the opposite direction. It was difficult for me to leave Salvatore for the second time since I've met him but it was the best for both of us. Olivia was whimpering and constantly trying to gain control to run back to Salvatore but the human side would forever be stronger. I made a promise to myself to clean up after the mess and damages Salvatore is going to make and cause. Making sure everyone is safe and living in peace, even if it means sacrificing a few lives from both worlds. SALVATORE "Lord?" Charlotte asked, looking confused. I smiled and took both her tiny hands in my large ones, softly caressing them and laid a kiss on each one of them. I felt giddy on the inside because this would be the prefect time to reveal my true identity and ask for her to rule beside me. " I took over the council. I rule both worlds, the humans and lycans." I smiled and watch for her reaction but all I got was her horrified face. She quickly pulled away from me before I could say anything and shifted into her wolf. I was so heartbroken at the thought of my mate rejecting me yet so amazed of her white wolf as she ran from me. I stood frozen in my spot for a few moments just watching her retreating figure getting smaller and smaller away. I made a promise to make sure I get my mate back. Even if it means the countless lives I endanger in the wars I start, but it'll all be worth it when I see her smile again.
