Sophia's POV The hospital corridor smelled like antiseptic and hope. I sat in the plastic chair outside Alfonso's room, watching David flip through pages of test results with barely contained excitement. "The brain activity patterns are consistent across all three scans," David explained, pointing to a series of images. "See this area here? Two months ago, this was completely dark.
