Sophia's POV I finally had a job of my own. The pharmaceutical division of Romano Industries occupied the top three floors of a sleek glass tower in Midtown Manhattan. As I stepped out of the elevator, the scent of fresh paint and new carpet greeted me. The open-plan office buzzed with activity. Researchers in white coats hurried between workstations, while executives in sharp suits gathered around conference tables. A middle-aged woman with wire-rimmed glasses approached me, "Mrs. Romano?
