I had missed my period for the second month.
Last month when I missed my period, I had consulted the doctor. My mind went to the only place every girl's goes to when she misses her period if she's sexually active, and the doctor had asked me to take a test.
All I had to do was buy one from the drug store and pee from a stick, but I had anxiety for an hour before I did that when I was alone at home and and my would be husband was at work. And the minutes that I had to wait after peeing on the pregnancy stick were miserable. My heart beat fast and there was a constant lump in my throat.
