I got up from the couch before Harper could. I knew it was Tommy with Archer and Olivia. I wanted to be the one that greeted them this time. I wanted to make sure this ass hat didn’t start s**t with her today.
I walked up to the door with Daisy right behind me. I opened the front door to let the kids in and possibly Tommy if he needed to talk to Harper. Olivia gasped when she saw my arm in a sling. I might not have thought this through fully before being the first to greet them back home.
"What happened?" Olivia and Archer asked as they stood there staring at me.
I took a breath and said calmly, "I got shot at work but don't worry I'm ok."
