Lucky’s Point of View

I was excited and anxious to see Scarlett when I got back home so I was a kinda concerned that everyone would pick up on that if Dylan Facetimed her in front of us.

“Speaking of Scarlett,” Dylan said, “Laa thinks I shouldn’t tell Scarlett about any of this. Not because she can’t be trusted but for her own safety. She said it was ultimately my decision but since we’re all in this together I wanted your input” she looked at Danny and me.

“I wholeheartedly agree” Danny said right away “it’s for her own safety the same way not being around you for the time being is for her own safety. Her mortality makes her susceptible to not only danger, but to tricks that we are not.”

“What kind of tricks?” Dylan wondered.

“Oh, honey there’s mind reading, mind control, all sorts of unsavory tricks that can’t be used against us. Not to mention she might as well be deaf, and blind compared to us.” Danny counted the reasons on his fingers as he rattled them off.

“Those were my thoughts exactly” Rowan agreed.

Then it was my turn, “yeah, I mean there’s plenty of downside to her knowing but really no upside. She can still know how fast she is and stuff like that but she’s not a vampire. She doesn’t know that Dylan is exceptional, she has no point of reference.”

“She is exceptional, isn’t she?” Rowan gushed as he gazed at Dylan. “But it’s your call, like Laa said.”

“No, I think that pretty much settles it, all of you guys said the same thing. So, I’ll defer to you, since you’ve all been at this forever.”

Dylan said goodnight to Danny and I after Rebecca left so she could Facetime Scarlett in private, much to my relief. Danny and I stayed a little bit longer and shot the s**t with Rowan.

“When do you think her senses will really start to power up?” I asked them.

“Any time now” Danny said matter-of-factly.

“Yeah, I’m sure by tomorrow she’ll be in the throes of it,” said Rowan.

“That was the absolute worst time, of either of my lives.” I shuddered as I remembered what it was like. “Poor Dylan.”

“I’m hopeful Laa’s tonics help keep the worst of it away.” Danny said.

Scarlett’s Point of View

My heart jumped out of my chest when my phone finally rang, I tried to brace myself for whatever I was going to see when Dylan came up on my screen. What I saw was the palm of her hand, I really shouldn’t have been surprised knowing her like I did.

“Girl, move your hand and stop playing! Let me see my best friend the vampire already!” I laughed.

“Okay, are you ready?”

“A hundred percent! On three!”

“Alright. Three!” She moved her hand; I was stunned and relieved at the same time if that makes sense. She was flawless but she still looked like my Dilly, with perfect makeup.

“You b***h! I’m so jealous!” I teased her.

“You should see my body!” she sounded giddy.

“I don’t want to hear about it!”

“Join us on the dark side Scarlett. Come” she laughed.

“Please, let me get used to you being one before I start thinking about me. Are you outside? It looks really dark.”

“Yeah, I’m on the roof. Rowan and I were couped up in our room all day so I want to be outside as much as I can. I guess I’ll be super sensitive to the sun for a while, even with my daylight ring. I wanted to see how sensitive I am, but Rowan wouldn’t let me.”

“How dare he not let you inflict unnecessary pain on yourself” I gave her a playful stern look.

“Guess what.”

“What?”

“Rowan and I got married in Laa’s garden right before sunrise this morning, but we’re still going to have the big wedding in October, so don’t go thinking you’re off the hook for making my wedding gown.”

“Oh my god Dylan! I’m so happy for you! Although I wish I was there, I kinda love that for you and Rowan. Weddings should be intimate.”

“Thanks baby!” She beamed at me through the phone. “Only you guys know we’re already married. I mean I wouldn’t want to go to a wedding if the couple was already married, vampire or not.”

“Agreed. Enough of the small talk, let’s get to the juicy bits. How’s the s*x now that you turned?”

“Girl! I don’t know! We haven’t had it. Rowan was concerned we’d destroy our room.” She rolled her eyes.

“I see his point, but you must be dying.”

“You can’t even imagine, and the way he smells to me, ugh! I want to eat him alive! I cannot wait to get my hands on him.”

“How long is he planning to make you wait?”

“Now, tonight.”

Dylan’s Point of View

I hung up with Scarlett and took my clothes off, I didn’t want to be bothered with taking them off once I finally had my hands on Rowan. I kind of hollered his name, I didn’t know how loud I had to be for him to hear me, if he would at all. As soon as I sat down on the daybed that he proposed to me on he opened the door to the roof.

“Did you hear me or were you coming up on your own?”

“Both. I heard you on my way up, I answered you but obviously your senses aren’t revved up. Yet.”

I stood up from the bed, “come here.” He vamped to me in a second, in one swift motion I had his pants down and I was on my knees in front of him, I grabbed his ass and pulled him closer to me. I wasted no time taking him into my mouth, I wanted him so badly it hurt. I moved my mouth and hand up and down his shaft.

“Oh, s**t babe! That feels amazing” He put his hands on the sides of my head and rocked his hips “look at me baby” he moaned. I looked up at him and met his eyes with mine, he let out a roar as his eyes turned black. I sucked him off harder, his moans mixed in with his growls had me even more turned on. We drank each other’s blood as we came.

“Your blood is intoxicating babe” he growled into my ear. I started moving my hips again, still drinking his blood. I knew I was supposed to release his neck, but I couldn’t, drinking from him was orgasmic. “Beloved, I know it’s hard baby, but ya gotta let go.” It was only from thinking I would hurt Rowan was I able to force myself to let go of his neck.

“I’m sorry” I was embarrassed and hid my face on his shoulder, “I didn’t mean to…”
