Bastien’s words fell like a hammer, Rowan was so angry he growled.
“God damn that woman! She’s like the gift that keeps on giving!” Scarlett shook her bawled up fist in the air.
“No wonder I couldn’t find her” Danny grumbled.
“You were looking for her?” Lucky asked him.
“Yes, I was. I wanted to tell her what a wonderful gift she threw away before I killed her myself” Danny gritted his teeth.
Dylan was quiet for what seemed like hours to me, “am I surprised maybe, shocked? Definitely not.” she finally said. “If you’re wondering if I am angry at you, I’m not. I should probably thank you for saving me from a fate worse than death” she said to Bastien.
