BETHANY FRENCH SQUEEZED through the last few steps of the narrow tunnel and stepped into the more open confines of a cathedral room. She set some of her gear down. It was cool in the cave but she was sweating in her work clothes after lugging her testing equipment so far, solo.
She turned on one of the small lamps she carried then took off her helmet with its’ headlamp and ran a hand through her short, damp hair. ‘Helmet head, again,’ she thought. ‘Good thing I don’t have anyplace to be later.’
