Adrian’s POV
I am concerned because I can feel that Elena is trying to distance herself from me. I can tell that she is hurting again, just from seeing me. I know I screwed up badly this morning. But I love her, and I can’t lose her. That is why I sent Paige away like I did. I knew she was having a hard time trying to find the words that she wanted to say to me. Elena is so strong, and I don’t think she knew how to be anything but strong. She always tries to turn the other cheek and act like she wasn’t bothered by what had happened. Controlling her expression, so no one could tell that they had hurt her.
I could tell that she was deeply hurt because I felt it through our bond. I know that earlier this morning, she didn’t want me to know just how much she was hurt. I am sure
