Paige’s POV
Tucker was not going to stay there. I have to admit, I was a little shocked. If I was Maggie’s sibling, I wouldn’t just be a warrior there. I would have asked for a rank and then goofed off. He shouldn’t have to work hard here. He was a member of the family now. I haven’t been here that long, but I have seen that Carson is hard on everyone here. Everybody has to pull their weight around here. No one was exempt. They trained hard, and they were a well-oiled machine. From what I had learned, it had been like this since former Alpha Wells Black ran the pack. He still trains, as does his mate, Vera, along with Carson’s parents. Everyone trains, it is not an option to be able to avoid it.
The worst part is that they expect you to help the pack if we are attacked. The
