It had been a little over two months since Paige had been killed. It turned out that Adrian had pushed Paige back so hard that he cut her stomach open. He had nicked her aorta right under her kidneys, right at her stomach. Adrian's wolf, Liam, had just taken over and produced the claw as he was furious with Paige.
