ILIANA’S POV — Not one single thing on the menu of the little food cart looks good enough to eat, every simple food is latched to a memory with Nolan, and the hunger I felt in the room has suddenly vanished into thin air. I wish Nolan could disappear like that. I offer a small smile, “I’ll come back later,” I excuse myself and the annoyed look on the woman’s face behind the cart sends a cold shiver down my spine. I deserve that look for taking up valuable minutes of her time, ones that could have been wasted on an actual paying customer.
