"Alex?" I said in surprise as I looked at her.
Aileen and I shared a look and she shrugged slightly before returning her attention to her childhood friend.
"What are you doing here, Alex? Are you okay?" Aileen asked as she helped Alex get up from the ground. She had managed to trip when Aileen and I rushed to see who was hiding behind the trees. She didn't seem to be hurt, at least not visibly.
Alex nodded her head slowly and hesitantly grabbed Aileen's hand and got to her feet. "I just wanted to see where you disappeared off to every day. I thought you and Andrew had some sort of secret relationship and I came here to confront both of you but I never thought you'd be fighting," she confessed in embarrassment.
