THERE was no Carmen when Prima entered the threshold of the cabin. Rather, it was the silence that greeted the alpha. There were no giggles from Charlie nor an argument between her son and mate. She threads the short distance between the small living room and the back door. Prima sighed in disappointment when she did not see Carmen nor her son in the worktable she built for her small family.
