Noah’s POV It takes over three hours before the police finally clear the road enough that we can start moving once again. I should head back to the office, but something pulls me onward, toward Daisy’s café. Pulling up outside, I climb out, heading to the front door and pushing it, the door gives underneath my hand. She must have run out when the gun went off, leaving the shop unlocked, the worry about the hardware store owner, completely wiping the fact from her mind as she headed for the hospital to be with him. As I step inside, I find that the lights are still on, and a few tables have dirty dishes on them.
