Something was very wrong and that became all the more evident when the stranger revealed himself to be Alexander’s cousin.
“C’mon,” I said tugging on Sam’s hand. “Let’s go.” I didn’t know everything but it made some sense now as to why Alexander was so furious and so adamant about getting me out of here. Later I expected a full explanation from Alexander but for now I could walk away if it helped but him at peace of mind – I could tell that he was worried about me, he always was.
“Are you sure?” Sam asked even as I began to pull him away; even he looked worried for Alexander. I could hear Alexander speaking to his cousin and when I looked over my shoulder he was holding him back with a forceful hand on his shoulder.
