The helicopter landed, and I got out. I was happy to see Jamie waiting for me as I had asked. He hugged me, and we began the short walk from where the helicopter had set down to the citadel. He told me that my mother and Tina had left for Dawn Sky as soon as he had passed on my message. They were both eager to spend some time with their grandson. He told me that he hadn't realised how hard it would be to be away from me, that he had missed me even though it had only been a few hours. I smiled at that, I had felt it too.
Back at the house that Holly had been staying in. When we were all relaxing in front of a movie. Jake had his arm around Holly, and Misha was curled up against Shaun, and i had found myself wishing that Jamie was there with me. I admitted this to him, and he grinned.
