My heart was pounding. The door crashed open. There was a loud roar, and Tara came bounding in blood, matting her honey coloured fur. I was so happy to see her. She shifted back into Ally and ran towards me, wrapping her arms around me tightly. “Holly! We found you. I am so glad that you are ok!” She said emotionally. I returned her hug. “Let’s get out of here.” I told her. Pausing at the door, I turned and looked at her. I had to know that those blood suckers hadn’t lied. “Ally, my mum... Is she...?” I asked, unable to get the words out. Ally knew exactly what I was asking. “Tina is fine. It took all my persuasion and charm to get her to stay behind.” She laughed. I smiled, and that sounded about right.
We left the room, and I led Ally to the throne room. Council Member Harper h
