The words slip out of my mouth before I can pull them back. Blu's eyes dilate, and Jeff tenses.
Damn… now the whole office will know what I said. I clench my jaw regretting even coming to look for her. I should have waited for her to return to her desk.
That’s the reason I moved her out of my office, so we wouldn’t have this tension between us and I don’t have to see her every time I turn around.
Her refusing to accept my apology was like a blow to my whole system. I have never been treated like that by a woman before. It threw me for a loop and I didn’t know what to do.
