I blink my eyes open, and stare at the wall. It takes me a minute to realize where I am.
God, I was hoping the whole of yesterday was a dream.
I guess not, I think with a sigh.
I am still homeless, working for Xavier Maake and living in Vic’s house.
Damn…I never dreamed that I will be here.
I get up with a groan, and make my way to the bathroom, and almost slam into Vic as he was coming into the room.
“Oh sorry,” he says holding on to my shoulders to keep me steady on my feet.
“I’m fine,” I say looking up at him. We stare at each other, and I feel my heart stutter in my chest. His eyes move to my lips. I lick them in anticipation of his kiss.
