I watch the wheels turn in Xavier's mind. I keep my eyes away from Blu because I don't want to see the shock in her eyes. She's been acting weird all night ever since Xavier arrived. Well, except when he touched her back while I was taking the meat outside.
That had been the only time she reacted honestly, and without the anxiety she seems to feel whenever Xavier and I are in the same room.
I know if I look at her... I am going to change my mind. And not go ahead with my only shot at happiness, because I don't like seeing her unhappy.
