Xavier   Blu is standing next to me in the lift and all I can feel and smell is her. She is all around me. I force myself to stand still and not reach out to her. I want to…my hands itch with the desire to close around her and just pull her to my chest. Fuck…this feeling…  I’ve never felt like this before. Not about her or any other woman. Women for me are a way to release…a feel good moment that lasts for a few seconds. I’ve never felt this tortured and out of control, like I’ll burn inside if I don’t have her now. God…I clench my jaw as the feeling becomes worse.  She is intoxicating to me. She’s like a witch drawing me in with her spells.  And I want to answer that call. I want so bad to reach her but every time we talk it all goes so wrong. I can’t seem to get it right with her. Today I saw a glimpse of how it could be between us if we could just get along. She was incredible today, she made my day run so smoothly. I’ve had quite a few assistants and she’s the best out of them, and it’s only been one day. I wonder what she will do in a year or two. She has so much potential, she just needs to realize it. She kept up with me so effortlessly, it took my breath away. The doors ding open in the underground parking lot and I walk out. Blu follows closely behind me. We walk to my car. And get in. I have a meeting with a very difficult client. I am not looking forward to this lunch. I’ve ran advertising campaigns for him over the years, but every time it was like pulling teeth. He is a hard man to please. Just thinking about Dalton Selepe is giving me grey hair. I should have given up on him years ago. But he is a brilliant business man. He owed many clubs around Johannesburg years until they were taken over by the Mogale twin brothers. Although I’ve wondered how that happened. That didn’t seem to keep Dalton down. He is up, and still grinding. Now he’s operating a chain of exclusive resorts. Expensive as hell, as he caters for the wealthy and famous. He is opening another one of those resorts, and he wants to market like crazy. I don’t even know if I have the strength for this.    “This client that we’re going to see,” I say as I maneuver out of the underground parking space to the road. I turn to Blu to find her attentively staring at me. Wow, that mind of hers… It’s amazing how she can switch it on and be this attentive, sharp minded person, and then she would stare at me with her smoking dark eyes like some goddess of love, and my insides just melt. My c**k twitches in my pants. I quickly think of something else before I goes hard. I clear my throat, and focus on what I have to say. I come to a stop at a red light. “He is a bit difficult. He has his own ideas of what he wants. Sometimes it’s even hard to figure him out.” “Like you?” she says turning to me. Her eyes twinkle like she’s laughing at me. I know there is a joke in there somewhere…but I can’t figure it out. That’s the other thing about me…the things that make people easily laugh, I can’t figure them out. It’s almost like I don’t have a sense of humour. I look at her lips as they pull into a smile and then freeze. She frowns. And then jerks as if she’s done something wrong.     “Sorry,” she says turning away from me. The light friendly atmosphere between us is gone in seconds. Fuck… Car horns sound behind me. The light has turned green. I drive on.  Something pulls in my stomach as fear settles in me. I’m going to lose her if I can’t connect with her. But I have always been this way. Maybe it’s time for me to change…but how? I focus on my driving. I’ll think about that later. We reach the restaurant we are having our meeting at. Blu gets out of the car as soon as I park the car. I look at her and notice how uncomfortable she is around me. My stomach pulls again, but I ignore it. I can’t focus on Dalton and the disaster of a relationship I have with her. There will be enough time to figure how to make her mine. We walk into the restaurant to find Dalton already there. He gets to his feet as he sees me coming. He is a handsome man, tall and holds himself like he’s the president of the country. “Dalton,” I say shaking hands with him. “This is my assistant Blu.” He turns to Blu after shaking my hand. He blinks and then focuses on her like a lion sizes up its prey. A growl forms in my throat, as his eyes linger on her longer than they should. A feeling I don’t understand thrums through me…I want to pull Blu to me, and stake my claim. She is mine, I want to shout at him so he can keep his eyes to himself. “Let’s sit,” I say, pulling out a chair for Blu. She gives me a smile that slams me right in the chest. I stare at her feeling like I’m drowning in her eyes. Her eyes linger on my face, as if she is memorizing every part of me. Fuck…she takes my breath away. “Blu? That is a strange name,” Dalton says interrupting our moment. Damn, I hate him right now. I sit down. The waiter who seems to have been waiting for us to take a seat, comes with menus. He leaves giving us a moment to make a selection. I make my choice and put my menu down. “Yeah, my mother was trying to go for something unique. I guess she succeeded,” Blu says politely. But I can see the strain in the pull of her eyes, and the fake smile she gives Dalton. “I’ll say that she did. It suits you…very beautiful,” he says still staring at Blu. I understand his fascination with her. Blu is beautiful she looks like a Greek goddess, all beautiful and sultry. Her creamy brown skin has an enticing glow that makes me wonder what her skin will taste like. I swallow as saliva pools in my mouth…fuck I want a taste of her. “Let’s begin. I have another meeting after this one,” I say not wanting Dalton to go on about how beautiful Blu is. My voice comes out rougher than I intended. Dalton turns to me with a knowing smile. Shit…I internally groan. “Of course,” he says reaching for his drink. Dalton starts to speak. The waiter comes back, and he takes our order. Dalton continues to speak, and like I said, I don’t know what he wants. “It has to be amazing, represent my brand and also make people want to be there,” he says. I nod at his words, trying to figure out how we are going to do that. Our lunch comes to a close I can’t figure out what he wants. We shake hands and we go our separate ways. “You didn’t understand a word he said, didn’t you?” Blu asks me as we drive off. I shake my head. She laughs. Her laughter is infectious that I feel my lips pull into a smile. “He’s one of my difficult clients. But I always manage to pull it off in the end,” I say driving Blu home. “So sure of yourself,” she says still laughing. “I am that good,” I simply state since it’s the truth. We drive in silence for a while. And then it hits me where I am taking her. The feeling I felt when Dalton was staring at her returns with a vengeance. My fingers tighten on the steering wheel. “I hate that I have to drop you off at this guy’s house,” I say into the silence. Blu turns to me and I can see the fire in her eyes. Heat crawls over my skin, anticipating the fight. I love it when all her focus is on me.
