"Iris, do you have a moment?"
I take my nose out of the book I was reading. Thank God this mansion has a library. Not a big one, but enough for the four days we decided to stay here.
"Sure. Take a seat." I answer to Alex that now sits in the doorway, looking undecided if he should enter or not.
"Before we part ways, I think we should talk. Well, to be honest, I think you should talk to Emilia, but I am the next worst thing so you will need to take what you can."
Since he woke up yesterday I still expect him to drag me down to The Shield and lock me up, but surprisingly, he agreed right away to take the Brothers and Sisters to the base and leave us to go wherever we want. He even spent the entire day answering questions and explaining what The Shield is and how it works to the rest.
