Chapter 7 Kevin was a man on a mission. He’d stopped to get candles on the way home. Lots and lots of candles. Who knew there were so many kinds? Pillars. Tapers. Tea lights. Three wicks. Of course, that meant purchasing candle holders, too. And rose petals. The silk kind. To his chagrin, he had to ask a salesperson where to find those, his cheeks burning at the knowing smiles the woman gave him. He’d grabbed a bottle of red wine and phoned the Italian restaurant on the Plaza they both liked so much. Once he’d picked up the order, he hurried home to set the scene.
