Jaron led the troop to Merville. The soldiers were cautiously excited. Jaron was someone they trusted, and his promise offered them futures previously unattainable. Following him, offered them the only chance at starting over. Their excitement grew as they moved away from the forest and the land became rolling pastures. Wishing to error on caution, Jaron camped just out of sight of the fishing village and harbor. There he arranged the ranks for the next step of their journey.
