GABRIELLE’S POV
Damon lifted me into his arms, his mouth claiming mine in a kiss that burned through every boundary we’d drawn. My fingers tangled in his soft and silky hair, pulling him closer until the world blurred around us.
My legs locked around his waist as he deepened the kiss, his breath hot and uneven against my skin.
He set me down gently on the dresser, his hands braced on either side of me like he was afraid to hold on too tight.
I broke the kiss and we just stared at each other — chest to chest, and breathless.
“Try not to run away,” I whispered as I placed my hand on his chest.
His eyes shut closed and I kissed him gently on his lips. “Open your eyes, Damon.”
He opened them and I could see everything he tried so hard to hide. His heart beat faster under my touch.
