We shift and run back to where we found the children and look for tracks of other wolves. We pick up the scent of rouges and follow it. At the same time, Joe’s warriors take the woman’s body back to his packhouse.
And have chosen to leave the children at Gabriella’s and my home. They will be safe with Gabriella. And I know Ruby will be keeping guard with Alexi.
Joe and I follow the rouge scent to an abandoned mine shaft and look over at each other we know better than going down the shaft. So we roll in mud to hide our smell and hide amongst the trees and wait for someone to come out. Maybe we can get answers if we take one captive and determine where the woman and her children came from.
