Nikolai’s POV
When I left Freyja, I didn't think I was not cut out to see the unexpected visitor, Diana. But looking at her now sitting on a couch in one of our rooms, as I came out from the room Freyja occupied fazed me.
“What are you doing here? What are you looking for?” she stood up as she sighted me.
“My prince, I have only come to check on your wife. I heard she was feeling indisposed and I wanted to just check on her” She said, battling her eye lashes at me.
“I'm certain you don't have to concern yourself about what goes on with my wife in our rooms” I replied grudgingly.
“But my prince, it's common knowledge that your wife tried to kill herself,” She said, then said “Oh” She put her palm in front of her mouth as if she had made a mistake with her choice of words.
