Charlie walked with Mackenzie back to her work to get her car. They got in and she drove Charlie back to the parking lot by the Café, dropping her off so she could drive back to Aunt’s house in the city. They said their goodbyes and made plans to see each other Thursday night at the improv club. Mackenzie promised to bring Jonathan along and Charlie kissed her cheek before getting out of the car. After she had seen Charlie drive off she took off too, heading home. It was only a ten-minute drive and she parked her car in the assigned spot in front of her building before going inside. She was exhausted and all she could think about was bed. She had told Daniel she would clear a drawer for him but she would do that after her nap.
