I hear what Penny is saying and I know what my grandpa said I should do but I just can not leave someone that I have already lost for a second time. I am so happy that I get to have another chance with her that I turn to Penny and hold her hands.
I can see that she is almost melting because I am holding her hands. I, of course, do not understand either why I am doing this but then I continue to say.
"Penny, I'm sorry but I have to take a reign check on our dance. I have to go and check on Peter. You know that we are friends right?"
She looks at me with a frown on her face and then says.
"Yeah, but-"
I give her a kiss on the cheeks and then I grab my keys and I run to my car. I look back and I see Penny standing with her hand on her cheek. I can not help but smile while thinking
