Chapter 12 Tristan looked through the Frost fence at the empty school yard and blew into his hands again. Mid-November already, and it was getting cold. “My toes are going numb,” he said, looking over at Bernie. Glad in a big blue parka, Bernie was blowing into her large coffee. “I told you to wear your winter coat.” She handed him the coffee. “Hold this, it’ll warm your hands.” “Thanks.” He took a sip of the hot drink and shivered.
